Water Logged to Wonderful! Reviving Historic Plaster - Anchorage
Unfortunately, a plumbing leak in the ceiling above caused significant damage to this beautiful historic plaster wall. The water peeled the paint, weakened the finish coat, and dissolved sections of the over 150 year old plaster. We removed the failed areas down to the original lath, and rebuilt the surface, rekeying the plaster into the lath. After skim coating, priming and finish coating the wall was fully restored to its original grandeur.

OH NO ! Historic Pillar Built Back the Old Way - Anchorage
After a car lost control and crashed into this historic pillar, we rebuilt it using the same methods and craftsmanship from 150 years ago. The restoration includes traditional grapevine-style mortar joints, a detail commonly used in masonry of that era. The result is a faithful reconstruction that matches the original pillar standing beside it.

Time for a New Roof!
Let's GO! - Anchorage
Yes! We do roofs too! In fact, we are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor!

An Antique Wind Vane Finds New Direction! - --Anchorage
For this project, we restored an antique but dilapidated antique wind vane. The wooden body was so deteriorated that it required a complete rebuild, crafted exactly to match the original and then fixed atop the client's pool house gazebo. What a fun project!

Rotten to Renewed! Total Exterior Restoration -Louisville
Years of water intrusion through the siding had rotted several major structural beams supporting this portico. We removed the damaged bearing members and rebuilt the structure. After restoring the framing, we installed all new water proof siding, rebuilt the fascia, and finished the project with prep and paint.

Tired to Timeless Kitchen Makeover- Crestwood
In this kitchen transformation, we began by completely gutting the space. We installed a new large window to open up the view of the beautiful wooded backyard. Then we skim-coated the walls and ceiling for a sleek, modern look, and added fresh tiling to the backsplash. Finally, the project was finished off with new cabinetry and flooring to complete the entire makeover.

Old Barn Gets a Facelift -Anchorage
We transformed this old shed into a refreshed, restored structure. The project included a full re-roof, extensive replacement of rotted siding/trim, and completely rebuilt the two main doors. Everything was then painted black to capture the look and character of a traditional Kentucky tobacco barn. I think we nailed it! And so didn't our client!

Historic Bay Window Renovation -Anchorage
Here we added a half-moon copper gutter that not only compliments the existing copper roof on this bay window but also serves a functional purpose by directing water away from the windowsill we replaced. The rotted sill was rebuilt along with several damaged trim pieces, and the entire area was prepped-primed and finish painted.

Can we Add a Big Sink?-Anchorage
This client wanted to update her dated kitchen without committing to a full remodel. She reached out to us to see if we could come up with some smart solutions to enhance her existing kitchen. We developed the idea to relocate the refrigerator into her pantry, opening up the kitchen and improving its flow. In that freed space we installed a much larger undermount sink to give her the functionality she was missing. We added tile work to blend the update into the existing countertop as cleanly as possible without replacing it. This was a tough project having to work in the new updates with the very dated existing kitchen - In the end she was extremely happy with our design solutions.

Saving History: Rebuilding an 1860s Home Struck by a Tree - Anchorage
A Massive fallen tree caused extensive damage to the porch of this historic home. We rebuilt much of the structural framing, installed a new metal roof on the entire home, replaced the destroyed copper gutters, repaired the plater ceiling, and repainted all the columns. The result is a fully restored porch that honors the home's original historic character.
